Messaging in the KARE Heroes App

Overview

At times, you will need to communicate with Communities or the KARE HERO Support Team. Whether you need to talk to a Community about a shift or ask for help from KARE, this guide will show you how to find and send messages easily.

Accessing the Messages Section

To open the Messages section:

  1. Go to the Search or My Shifts screen
  2. Tap the Message icon in the top right corner
    1. Note that if you have an unread message, it is indicated by the green dot on the Message icon.

Messaging Communities

You can send a message to a community if:

  • You have been confirmed for a shift, or
  • The Community sends you a message first

Once confirmed, you can easily communicate with the community about your shift or ask any questions you may have. Find them in your list and send a message!

Messaging KARE Support

To message KARE, tap the Contact Us text in the top right corner of the app.

When you open Contact Us, you can also:

  • View Support Hours of Operation

  • Browse the FAQs

To send a message:

  • Type your text

  • Tap the Send icon to submit your message

 

The KARE Heroes App makes it easy to stay in touch with both Communities and the KARE HERO Support Team.
