How to Verify a Shift as a Community in the KARE App

Overview

This guide explains how to verify a shift as a Community user in the KARE Communities App.
Verifying a shift is an important step that confirms a HERO has completed their work and triggers the next steps in the payment process.

 

Steps to Verify a Shift

1. Go to the Shifts section in the KARE Communities App

2. Tap on the Shift to view the details.

3. If all the information is correct, tap the Verify button located at the lower right side of the shift card.

4. A pop-up window will appear. You will see the following fields:

  • Start Time
  • End Time
  • Break Time
  • Any Bonus amount (if applicable)
  • Review Message field

5. If needed, edit the shift times.

6. Enter your review of the HERO by providing a Star and text review.

  • Star reviews are used to pay the HERO quickly and as well as includes the bonus. If a HERO is given 4 or 5 stars, they are paid same-day or next day depending on their bank account. They also earn the bonus. If a HERO is given 3 or less stars, they will be paid in 7 days and do not earn the bonus.
  • Text reviews are anonymous and not shared with the HERO. They are visible to other communities evaluating the HERO as a shift applicant. Please make sure to include any detail about the HERO’s performance.

7. Once you have confirmed all the information, tap Submit to verify the shift.

The status of the shift will now be updated to Verified and can be found in the Inactive tab of Shifts.

   

 

Important

  • You may still edit shift times before submission

  • Verified shifts move forward in the approval process and are used to calculate HERO payment

 

Payment Approval

If the payment amount differs from the rate originally posted, the shift will go into Payment Approval status . This usually happens when there is a high bonus, extra hours worked, or less time completed than expected. It acts as a filter to ensure the correct amount is reviewed and paid.

 

Once in this status, the KARE Support Team will verify the adjustment before final payment is processed.
